A cookie is a small piece of data a site asks your browser to hold onto between visits. This page lists every cookie (or similar local storage) HS Car Care and the services it relies on can set, and why.

Strictly necessary

These don't need your consent because the site can't do what you're asking it to do without them.

• Your cookie choice itself - recorded in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, so this record isn't something Google or Stripe (or anyone else) can read.
• Your booking doesn't use a cookie at all - it's identified by the 9-digit code and magic link from your confirmation email, which you hold, not your browser.

Analytics

If enabled, HS Car Care uses Google Analytics 4 to see general usage patterns - which pages get visited, roughly how many people book - so the site can be improved. These cookies (typically _ga and _ga_<container-id>) are set by Google, not by us directly, and only load after you accept them below - never before. See Google's own cookie policy for exactly what they record and for how long.

Payment (Stripe)

When you pay a deposit or set up the Monthly Maintenance Plan, you're taken to a checkout page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe sets its own cookies there (for example __stripe_mid and__stripe_sid) to prevent fraud and complete your payment securely. These are set on Stripe's own domain during checkout, not by this site, and Stripe treats them as necessary to process a payment safely - see Stripe's cookie policy for detail. We never see your card details either way.

Changing your choice

You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time - it takes effect immediately, no page reload needed.
